Wellselves welcomes clients who may have been impacted by a physical or medical health issue and want individual support for their recovery, growth and community reconnection. We are able to see such clients for up to 10 consultations annually, under usual GP care plan / referrals with Medicare rebates available.
We also welcome those who are differently-abled, or have recently acquired a disability, and who require support to address diversity issues within workplaces.
We do not operate as an NDIS case management agency, but will appropriately refer people needing these services. However we happily see adult, self-funded NDIS clients in need of life coaching, relationship support, group or individual psychological therapies. We simply ask clients in this situation to pay up front, then reclaim their own service fees through their NDIS self-funding care plan arrangements.
We are able to see child clients with disability issues and their parents on an initial basis to arrange referral for behavioural assessments. For families with children who require more complex support with a diagnosis, or who are seeking more accurate assessment for school-funding, we have various clinical connections, including arrangements with universities and other institutions, to help facilitate timely access to these support services, sometimes at lower cost.
Clients in need of adult assessment for Disability Support Pensions may also be on-referred, after an initial Medicare assessment, to other service providers who can offer appropriate Centrelink DSP assessment and reporting services.
